Ada Lovelace was born on December 10th, 1815. She died on November 27th, 1852.
Major Contribution- Ada Lovelace made the first computer algorithm. She also made the concept of General-Purpose Computing. She made the disctinction between hardware and software.
Major Academic Events- Ada Lovelace studied mathematics but there weren’t many opportunities for women, so she did not major in anything. Ada Lovelace published the English Translation of an article by Luigi Menabrea and added her own notes to The Analytical Engine in 1843. She Also made the first published algorithim that a machine computed.
Minor Contribution- Ada Lovelace collaborated with Charles Babbage on The Analytical Engine, pushed forward early ideas of AI, this was later called “Lovelace’s Objection” and it is still debated about today.
